When justice comes knocking, District Jackie Lacey doesn’t open the door, saying, “No Jackie aqui!” We're not letting that answer rest.
This annual Courage Against Racism fundraiser for BLMLA is focused on understanding and identifying the intersections of hate groups in Southern California within the larger growth of white supremacist organizing. This insight will support our own organizing and understanding of the larger movements, how to identify themes, and who is doing the work we need to support.
Did you know that more than 530 people have been murdered by law enforcement in the city of Los Angeles since 2013? Did you know that in only one of those cases has the District Attorney’s office brought charges against the law enforcement professionals involved? Do you know who’s responsible for this travesty of “justice?” That’s right, elected official Jackie Lacey, and she has got to GO!
After two weeks off, Torrance City Council is back in session this week and so are we! They still have not released the names of the officers who murdered #ChristopherDeandreMitchell. The community demands answers and justice. Join us!
We’ll be at 500 West Temple Street at 9:30 AM, 8/13/19! Alongside Justice LA & the ACLU, please join us to stop Supervisor Sheila Kuehl & the Sheriff’s Department from spending billions of dollars on a modern day dungeon to incarcerate more of the city’s citizens.
THURSDAY 2/7 9AM - 210 W. TEMPLE - WE NEED A MASSIVE TURNOUT! Our own Melina Abdullah is being targeted with 8 trumped-up counts in City Attorney Mike Feuer’s effort to criminalize Black protest. When they come for one of us, they come for all of us! We need hundreds to pack the courthouse! Police kill our people and then they criminalize us for refusing to stay silent.
Stand up! Fight back! #BlackLivesMatter
Justice for #ChristopherMitchell ! Please come out & bring folks with you to the Torrance City Council meeting TOMORROW! We want to pack the room, show the family we support them, & show the city of Torrance the power in community. Even if you can’t make it at 6:45, still come!

Stand with the families of those killed by police! 430+ murdered by law enforcement in LA County in the last five years and District Attorney #JackieLacey has chosen to prosecute only one officer so far as a result of our pressure. Let’s keep it up! 1 down, 429 to go!
